Yahoo! Maps regains the throne

After having its crown stolen by its nemesis, Google, Yahoo! Maps has regained the throne with the release of the new Yahoo! Maps.

The biggest feature of the new Yahoo! Maps is the ability to enter multiple addresses and have them automatically mapped for you from point A to point B to point C. You can even drag the addresses around in the side bar to change their order. This is a brilliant move, and is long overdue in the online maps world. It's great if you're looking for a new home or you're going garage saling. Just type in all the places you want to visit, and Yahoo! Maps will map out your entire itinerary.

Yahoo! also added a cool "Find on the Map" feature that lets you type enter a company name and see all the locations for that company on the map. This is useful if you want to see where all the local Startbucks are in relation to your day's garage saling journey. You're gonna need a pick-me-up after you've rummaged through your eleventh collection of grandma's old crap from the basement.

The only drawback I've noticed so far is sluggishness. But hopefully that's something Yahoo! can tweak in the coming months.

So for all you Google Maps converts, it might be time to come back to Yahoo!.
