T1 is still being used as a download benchmark?

While being forced to download every single incremental update for Acrobat 7.0.1 to 7.0.8 from Adobe's website (instead of just being able to go straight from 7.0.1 to 7.0.8) I noticed that they still use "T1" as a download estimate benchmark. I may be a UCL on this one, but didn't the T1 cease to be relevant at least 5 years ago?

There was a time when we all had 56k modems and dreamed of being able to afford an $800/month lightning-fast T1, but that was a long time ago - back when Tom Cruise was sane, Diddy was Puff Daddy, and NBC still had funny sitcoms. A T1 is only 1.5 Mbps at best, and most cable modems blow that out of the water these days. So I was a little stunned to see that Adobe still uses "T1" in their download estimates:

Hey, Adobe, just stick to the basics: Dial-up and High-speed.
